I've hit an hourly/monthly token request limit, what does this mean?

Token request limit

This means you've sent enough token requests within the last hour (which is calculated from :00 - :00 e.g. 08:00-09:00) or month to surpass your limit or hit a warning.  Token requests are made by clients requesting tokens using signed token requests.

 

There are three types of Token request limits you can hit:

  • tokenRequests.hourly.warning - when you reach 80% of your quota.
  • tokenRequests.hourly.soft - when your quota has been exceeded.
  • tokenRequests.hourly.hard - when the hard limit on the account has been exceeded. You will now be blocked from sending token requests until the end of the hour.
